I’m so happy that I found Ai to do my wedding hair and makeup.
I know nothing about makeup and was afraid to try different things because I was worried that I wouldn’t look like “me”. But Ai was so patient and helpful at my trial, she tried and suggested different makeup colors and hairstyles.
I remember there was one point where she did my eyes based on the picture I brought with me; it was very natural and light. But I thought it looked too “plain” on me.
Then she spun me away from the mirror, did her magic thing to my eyes and spun me back to see my reflection. I remember saying “OMG! I love it!” She gave my eyes such beautiful definition!
I knew right there that I had to have her for my wedding day. It had the right amount of color to be defining but was still natural and elegant. She was such a delight to have help me get ready on my wedding day and engagement shoot.
She even helped me with my haircut so that it was at the perfect length I wanted for my up do. I received many many compliments about how beautiful I looked! THANK YOU Ai! – Donna

It was great working with Ai for my wedding day hair and makeup. She was my first choice for a hair/makeup artist and I’m so glad she was available for my wedding day.
Ai did a wonderful job with my hair and makeup – I felt very glamorous but still like me. And my hair stayed up and my makeup stayed on through an outdoor ceremony and lots of dancing after!
If I ever need special occasion hair or makeup again in the NY area, I will ask for Ai!

Ai did an amazing job. During the trial run, she was incredibly patient and helped me try multiple looks with both my hair and makeup. On the wedding day, I was so pleased with the result! I normally don’t wear any makeup, so I was nervous about looking appropriately glammed up but still looking like myself. Ai definitely achieved the perfect look for me. It was great having Ai take care of the hair & makeup for me and my bridesmaids. I requested to see her portfolio which definitely made me secure about her skills. Ai was wonderful. I don’t usually wear make up or have my hair professionally styled and Ai made the experience relaxing and comfortable. I felt beautiful and not ‘overdone’. Ai is amazing. She made me, my MOH, and my mother look fantastic.
She takes her time and really makes sure that everything looks just right. Her prices can’t be beat compared to other makeup artists in NYC. She comes to you, which is extremely convenient on your wedding day.
Everyone told me I looked like a movie star, for which I have to credit Ai alone.
She’s also very flexible – initially my mother did not want her makeup done, but changed her mind, and Ai had no problem adding the service last minute.

Ai is fantastic! Hands down, SHE IS THE THE MASTER of hair and makeup. I don’t wear much make-up so it was very important that I looked “natural.” She took everything I said into consideration and worked magic. She’s great and very, very cool!

Ai did the hair and makeup for me, my mother, and my sister.
She is FANTASTIC, such a nice person, and so easy to work with. I was probably a difficult client b/c I decided to change my hair after the hair trial, a week or so before the wedding, and she just took it in stride and gave me the new hairstyle I wanted based on pictures. I cried (out of happiness, of course) a fair bit during the wedding, and it was a hot day, and the makeup stayed looking fresh and natural for over 12 hours.
I was so happy with the way we looked — natural, polished, and glowy. She is a great person, such a talented hair and makeup artist, and I highly, highly recommend her!
